Born in Poland but raised in Brazil, Monika Konstancia fell in love with the lush nature and vibrant colors of the tropics. After studying at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London, she returned to Brazil and went on to work with Brazilian designers and architects, amongst them Claudio Bernardes, specializing in the decoration of island properties. Her designs on cloth were exhibited in the Casa Cor Expo, featured in Elle magazine and represented by several galleries in Rio de Janeiro. Her singular strokes and brilliant hues evoke the joy and poetry of a tropical paradise and create unique panels of light and wonder. Monika is also known for her oversized panels and murals. Currently her work can be seen at the Full Moon Cafe and Shop at Coccoloba Shops in Coral Bay, St. John.
